Summer Learning Academy: (Current Kindergarten - 7th Grade)

Summer Learning Academy (SLA), is open to all current Friendship scholars in Kindergarten through 7th grade. The goal of SLA is to bolster scholar achievement in order to set scholars up for success when school resumes in the fall. SLA is designed to provide a cohesive blend of experiential learning experiences and engaging instruction for scholars at all achievement levels, whether your child needs to catch up or is ready to get ahead.

Friendship teachers use the Lavinia RISE Summer School curriculum, a research and evidence-based curriculum that builds literacy skills and develop mathematical reasoning skills.

In addition to Math and ELA instruction, SLA engages scholars in experiential learning activities and field experiences twice each week that are designed to give scholars the opportunity to apply knowledge learned in the classroom and fosters creativity and innovation.

Locations: Armstrong, Blow Pierce, Chamberlain, Ideal, Online, Southeast, and Woodridge

Hours: 8:00am – 1:00pm (Breakfast and lunch included)

*Correspondence will be emailed directly to parents of high school scholars needing summer credit recovery.
