About Our Programs
Friendship’s leading-edge, rigorous and relevant career and technical education (CTE) programs prepare our scholars for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, high-demand occupations. Practice, hands-on experience and real-world application is what CTE programs are all about. We recognize that our students can understand the fundamentals of any career as early as middle school, which will serve them through college and into their careers.
Areas of Focus
College level courses taken virtually or in person, taught by a college professor to earn college credits.
An opportunity to combine academic and technical classroom instruction with work experience through an apprenticeship program. It provides the foundation for students to choose among multiple pathways – to enroll in college, begin full-time employment, or a combination.
Paid and unpaid internship opportunities with highly sought after companies in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.
An employability credential that serves as NAF’s seal of college & career readiness. This credential was designed by education & business leaders and assesses students’ performance through completion of CTE course pathways, internship assessments and high school graduation.
CTE INDUSTRY CREDENTIALS
Students who desire a professional credential must pass an industry-developed and evaluated exam at the end of their CTE course.
