Vena Add-In – Installation Steps
Note: The following instructions apply to Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome web browsers. If you are using Firefox, please first complete the Additional Vena Add-In Setup Steps for Firefox.
About the Add-InVena uses both Microsoft Excel and the Vena website to give you access to financial reports and budget input templates. Before you can work with your department’s data in Excel, you will need to install the Vena Add-In for Microsoft Excel. This Add-In adds functionality to Excel that allows you to view, edit and save your financial data to the Vena cloud.

The download will start immediately. Look for the installer file in your downloads location or at the bottom of your browser:
- Run the installer. The following dialog box will appear:
- When the installation has completed, the following dialog box will appear. Close this dialog to complete the installation.
You are now ready to work with Vena. Visit https://twu.vena.io to access Vena. To confirm the install has completed successfully, open Excel. You should see the Vena Add-In in your Excel ribbon:
