Mr. Ken Cherry has spent the last 27 years working to improve to quality of education for all students. He has had the opportunity to work with students at all levels in rural, suburban, and urban environments. With 10 years of experience in the classroom, he has been a Grade 5 teacher, a Middle School ELA/Social Studies teacher, and a High School Alternative Education Teacher. With 17 years of leadership experience, Mr. Cherry has served as an assistant principal, principal, and central office executive director in the Baltimore City Public Schools; Assistant Superintendent in the School District of Philadelphia; and Superintendent of the Dover Area School District. Moreover, for a portion of his leadership experience, Mr. Cherry worked for EdisonLearning as the Vice President of Educational Services in Philadelphia and in Washington D.C. at Friendship Public Charter School. Mr. Cherry holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University and a M.S. in Administration and Supervision of Schools from Johns Hopkins.
