Seek qualified vendor to provide Hospital/Homebound/Interim Alternative Placement Instruction Friendship seeks proposals from vendors who provide elementary, secondary, and special education teachers and related service providers to work with students on a one-to-one basis in the hospital, at home, or in an interim alternative placement, on standard curriculum as well as services described in a students Individualized Education Program (“IEP”), including any Behavioral Intervention Plan (“BIP”), counseling, speech and occupational therapy services in accordance with Federal and District of Columbia law. SERVICES SOUGHT Friendship offers a short term educational services for eligible students who have been diagnosed with a medical or psychiatric condition that confines the students to the home, hospital, or other restrictive setting for at least 15 consecutive school days, these students must be able to participate and benefit from an instructional program to be eligible for these services. Additionally, Friendship offers educational services to students who require an interim alternative placement based on the decision of the student’s IEP team inclusive of the parent.
