The Office of the State Superintendent of Education today released the new OSSE School Transparency and Reporting (STAR) framework reports. If you are familiar with the DC Public Charter School Board’s Performance Management Framework (PMF), the STAR framework from OSSE won’t seem unfamiliar. OSSE STAR framework measures many of the same areas as the PMF but it provides information for all schools – traditional DCPS public schools and public charter schools.
We are pleased to provide highlights from our 2018 STAR reports. The reports show that Friendship is on the right track across our campuses.
• Woodridge Middle is the highest rated middle school in Ward 5
• Friendship Tech Prep High is the 2nd highest rated high school in Ward 8. They are also the 2nd highest rated high school East of the river
• Blow Pierce Middle is the 3rd highest rated middle school in Ward 7 and the highest score among schools serving more than 70 percent at risk
We are proud that the STAR report shows Friendship performing well, and in some cases, producing some of the highest performance results in multiple Wards in our city. We look forward to working with our families and community partners to continuing our progress and showing the world just how incredible our scholars are.
