Enrollment Process

Friendship is free to every student in PK3-12th grade. If the child’s parents or other primary caregivers live in the District of Columbia, students are eligible to enroll.

Transfer and New Students Start Here

Create an account and apply at My School DC.

Students are either matched, waitlisted, or accepted through the lottery or post-lottery process.

Returning and Feeder Students Start Here

Register via Infosnap starting in March.

Submit DC proof of residency and other supporting documentation by the application deadline.

Complete enrollment by attending school in August.

We’ve put together a list of questions parents often ask. If you don’t see what you’re looking for below, just reach out. We’re happy to help.

New and Transfer Students: Apply through My School DC, the common lottery application for the majority of D.C. public and charter schools. We’ll notify you if your student is matched or accepted off the waitlist. Expect a call and email from Friendship PCS regarding the registration process to secure the enrollment slot for the next school year.

Returning and Feeder Students: Complete the Friendship online application via Infosnap starting the registration cycle in April and submit all supporting documentation to the enrolling school.

  • PK3 must be 3 years old by September 30, 2023
  • PK4 must be 4 years old by September 30, 2023
  • Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 30, 2023

For grade levels 1st -12th, there are no age cutoffs at Friendship PCS for SY 2023 - 2024.
