Friendship Chamberlain is a 2016 Tier 1 middle school serving students in 6th - 8th grade.
Friendship Chamberlain Middle builds on exploration, character development, and foundational academic skills from elementary school to ensure preparation for high school, college focused and beyond. Students benefit from innovative, research-based classroom instruction, 21st-centurytechnology, and an exceptional team of educators.
Chamberlain provides a rich learning environment purposely crafted to develop early academic success. Started in 1998 as Chamberlain elementary with 600 students in grades K-5, the Chamberlain site is now home to two campuses - Chamberlain Elementary (PK-4) and Chamberlain Middle (5-8) serving a total of 740 scholars and counting.
Students are prepared to be lifelong learners and benefit from innovative, research-based classroom instruction, 21st-centurytechnology, and an exceptional team of educators.
Chamberlain students have been finalists in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, ambassadors for National Breakfast Week, and hosts for U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (LA) and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. Our renowned marching band has performed at the invitation of Howard University Homecoming and other major hosts. Numerous educational partnerships include the Washington Performing Arts Society In-School Artist Residency Program, the Kennedy Center Performance Program, the Toyota Book Initiative and Shakespeare Theater's Text Alive!
