Friendship Chamberlain is a 2016 Tier 1 elementary school serving students in PreK-3 - 5th grade. 
 
Since its founding in 1998, Chamberlain Elementary has focused on exploration, character development, and hands-on learning along with foundational academic skills. Students are prepared to be lifelong learners and benefit from innovative, research-based classroom instruction, 21st-centurytechnology, and an exceptional team of educators.
 
Chamberlain provides a rich learning environment purposely crafted to develop early academic success.The Chamberlain Elementary site is now home to two campuses - Chamberlain Elementary (PK-3- 4) and Chamberlain Middle (5-8) serving a total of 740 students. 
 
Chamberlain Elementary features a pre-K and elementary program focused on exploration, character development and hands-on learning along with foundational academic skills. 
 
Chamberlain students have been finalists in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, ambassadors for National Breakfast Week, and hosts for U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (LA) and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. Our renowned marching band has performed at the invitation of Howard University Homecoming and other major hosts. Numerous educational partnerships include the Washington Performing Arts Society In-School Artist Residency Program, the Kennedy Center Performance Program, the Toyota Book Initiative and Shakespeare Theater's Text Alive! Read more about our enrichment and after school programs.
