The Lady Knights had the surprise of their life on April 15, 2010.  They were greeted by WNBA super star player, Merissa Coleman, of the Washington Mystics.  Coleman spoke to the ladies about college, basketball and being successful overalll. Coleman stressed the importance of getting a great education. She also expressed the idea of the unlimited possibilities of being successful if the ladies stay in school.

The Lady Knights listened attentively to all Coleman had to say. They asked many questions and presented her with her very own Lady Knights Basketball T-shirt signed by all the players. Coleman also provided gifts to the Lady Knights which included a signed pair of tennis shoes given to Courtney Lucas who was named Player of the Year in her conference.
